Seek solace

It’s a difficult time we are going through right now. It’s chaos spread all over the world. And we are trying to cope up with this new normal way of living, that’s not too fascinating but we can’t do anything, can we?
At this phase some countries are really doing well to prevent the spread of this deadly virus and some are still trying hard to manage the mayhem that has spread rapidly along with the virus. Yet the world is reopening irrespective of the situation at hand. They can’t help it, because the government is tired fighting and making people understand the importance of this and the ways to prevent it, but on the other hand the economy of respective countries are falling apart badly. The industries are shutting down, employees been laid off without reasons, profits going down, factories and businesses filing for bankruptcy, and economic conditions shattering down.
The world is reopening not because the virus is dead but the economy is. The virus is still out there making and choosing it’s own hunting ground, taking lives of our fellow mates, loved ones, friends, family, and sparing no one.
We know the situation is tough, yet we insist don’t loose hope. Don’t feel down. It’s okay if you are upset, we here as well are very much in pain and agony, mentally stressed and burnt out. Yet we request you to find happiness in little things. Seek solace and feel happy. Be happy because you are still fighting, be happy because you are still getting to see your loved one, talking to them over phone, you are still spending quality time with your family, stay happy because you are getting food to eat, stay happy because you have friends around you. Stay happy because you are still breathing.
Don’t let this defeat you. Don’t loose hope. Don’t give up. Because we aren’t either. Because we know we will defeat this together. We shall overcome. Cause deep in our hearts, we do believe, we shall overcome one day, some day.
Wait for that moment. The day will be again on our side and the sun will be shining bright.
Live. To witness.

Obsession & sediments

My obsession with your touch is like the sediments in bottled water.
It hibernates peacefully, deep down in the gallows of my skin, until a whirlpool of events ruffles its composure, churning the fragments of you out of their sleep.
I feel them climb to the surface of my skin, with the most unstable steps.
I taste the bitter havoc that they spill.
For an hour. For a day. For a week. Until they fall back into a slumbering memory.
Each time this tiered process takes longer than usual, causing me more pain than most times, I indulge myself in a game.
I shake a bottle of water, on and on, heavily and then heavier.
The peaceful pause in the water shreds into a thousand pieces.
And I watch the sediments on the floor of the bottle, pushing themselves to the top, leaving the water baffled for some time.
Then much like a spent up force, they fall back to the bottom of the bottle. The sediments retreating at to the core of the bottle, appears to me like some unpronounced prophecy, assuring me that these moments of discomfort are a phase in its passing.

Sky has its limits

Nothing is permanent in life. Today what you are so proud of maybe not be yours the next day. Today what you say will live together with you for the rest of the life, may not be able to withstand the wrath of a storm even.
That’s what is portrayed through the lines above in the quote.
You see clouds, you see the kites flying, birds fluttering across the sky, airplanes taking off, the sun shining brightly through the day, the moon changing its position frequently, the stars sparkling and many more tiny details than the words can describe. But, does it stay forever? It’s a matter of some time, maybe some hours or some days, and the vast stretch of the landscape over your head changes. Sometimes it adds more color or sometimes it gets dull. It keeps surprising you every moment now and then.
The water bodies all across which are a reflection of this skies paint itself in whatever color the sky wraps itself in.
Such is life. You cannot hold on to something forever and claim it will forever be yours. You have to learn to let go, sometimes. Who knows there’s a surprise waiting for you around the corner? Don’t fix yourself in one place. Learn to let go.
Look up above. Look at the sky….and sing the famous lines from Coldplay:
“Cause you’re a sky, ’cause you’re a sky full of stars
Cause you light up the path.
I don’t care, go on and tear me apart
I don’t care if you do
Cause in a sky, ’cause in a sky full of stars
I think I saw you
Cause you’re a sky, you’re a sky full of stars
Such a heavenly view
You’re such a heavenly view,…..”
Sing along & stay happy.

Some Days

Today, we’ll talk about a piece of a puzzle.
It’s such a little thing but think of the power it has. That one piece if goes missing, you’ll be never be able to get a complete picture of that jigsaw you have bought. One becomes so busy with solving the jigsaw and give it its shape, he forgets to look at that single piece without which the puzzle will always remain a mystery. We solve one puzzle today, the next day life throws us another one, and on goes our hunt but today for a change let’s stop using that puzzle piece to solve another bigger jigsaw. Let’s halt for a moment.
Today is not about achieving all the dreams, fulfilling all the unfulfilled desires, or the big promises you have made to yourself. Stop thinking for a moment about all that’s running through your heads, about all those flashbacks those dark yesterdays or the unforseen tomorrows.
Stop cursing, stop blaming yourself because you are the chosen one you think, stop judging, stop hating, stop worrying. You have made it till today. Remember someone might is looking up to you at this very point in time with a oot of hope and you just don’t even know that. You might be someone’s hero. So, rejoice in what you have. Take pleasure in the simplicities of life. Leave aside all those complexities for a moment and think what is that one thing why you are happy today, or something you are thankful for, or something you are fortunate about.
When the world today stopped looking at the bigger picture and started focussing on the little intricacies so as to get an answer about how to rebuild and restart everything, the question is why can’t you?
It’s difficult to fight now. It’s difficult to find peace. It’s getting out of control. Things are going haywire. Relationships falling apart. We are losing our close ones, our friends and even our foes. The inner solace is getting disrupted. The one thing that’s haunting us is the question about what lies ahead of us. What will it be like when all of this is over?
In these challenging times, what you should do is to not think about what’s the future is going to hold for us, but to live in the present because if you’re reading this you are breathing and you have survived the battle till now. So, don’t worry about anything, instead raise your glasses and cheer up your spirits. You are a fighter and you are not in this alone. We all are here. We all will be beside you.
Just enjoy the moment. Enjoy today. Live now. Beacuse ‘Present’ is a gift from the Almighty.

Consider this a hug.

Stay safe….

I am a red flag that has fallen off its plummeted castle tower. I am an abandoned queen wearing a headdress of shabby grandeur. I am a havenless traveller standing barefoot in the sandy bay.

And most importantly I am someone like you.

And the broken tower of my castle lay at the foot of the raging tide, cocooned in fear of being stamped.
Pitying the sorry state of the broken structure, I stared at the wave. It was disassembling the magnificence of the sand edifice. Inch by inch.
Within a few seconds, I was looking at the void where the nearly non-existent remains of my sandcastle sloped. Close by, dabbed in white foams, the layers of sand did their best to conceal the cadaver of the dead wave.

I smiled at the subtlety of inevitability, echoing from the silenced wave it travelled all the way to the relics of my castle that it shattered. Like an abandoned queen thrown out of her grandeur, I stood still on the verge of a closing day. Soon this landscape featuring the sea, a fallen castle and a dead wave would be engulfed by the silvery hue of the cratered moon.
Like a homeless wanderer, I prepared myself to move from this soon to fall apart spectacle, to the next one coming in my way.
Leaning on the revolving yellow light of the ancient lighthouse night walked in.
The sea blushed with a shade of deep blue at its arrival. It was a newly forming picture and I had just moved into it. There were no birds in here. Only one or two who flew from time to time, instead of themselves. With the darkness building deep around and within me, I groped for light. It is exactly then that I found it.

Like a crown complementing the wildness of the waves, it was a speck of bright light. It twinkled amidst the capricious wind. I was taken aback at this sight. Glinting specks of lights resemble the stars most often. But the sea doesn’t wear stars for crowns, only the sky does. Lost in such ponderings, the sudden siren of a ship suspended my further thoughts for an indefinite time.

I glanced back. The light which was as small as a morsel seemed to have dilated a little. It played on the ripples of the unsettling water, mocking their threats into dust. The bravery radiating from the tiny flickering speck was slowly threading my weakened heart to its daunting soul. The many times the uneven winds attempted to rip me apart, I harboured myself. This valour that I showcased, was not mine to brag, it was lent by this light twinkling somewhere in the mid-sea, whose origins I was oblivious of. I wasn’t even confident of its existence. It could all be a concoction of my homeless mind in desperate need of refuge. Or perhaps the light resembled a dead star, seeming to shine even after it has ceased to exist. Or maybe it was real.

But who questions the validity of her mascot? The one who saves needs no name, no race or origin. This spot of luminosity smelt of home to me. Like an ardent worshipper of it, I poured by relentless stares on that small yellow light, the light which seemed to be strolling towards me, now. Touched with new hope, an image of my new home started to be forged in my mind. And thus, another landscape was born, with the dark night, the waves, the flickering yellow light, the moon and the half-made image of a new home.

Unfortunately, this had taken quite some time, the faint light of fresh dawn stretched its arms, cracking open the dark sky narrowly. The death of this landscape was written in the hands of the dying night…

The lifeless night carried with it that glowing grain of light as it’s dying wish. And the image of my half-constructed home followed them too…

I stood there, at the edge of yet another vanishing scene, just like the time before.
In the eastern sky, there appeared a jet of red light, and with it, another spectacle was in its inception.
I realised that I belonged to none of these panoramas. I was just a silent bystander, glancing at the different scenes. I was a sedentary traveller standing in the heart of an altering spectacle.
But how long could I combat the dominant waves? How long will I fight the gust of unruly winds?
If I give in someday, making the inevitable, inevitable indeed, forget me not. I implore you. Oh, oh, but you barely know me. Unfortunately, the anonymous are hardly remembered. We seldom reminisce, somebody, when we don’t know what to remember her by. Maybe, an image, an address, a title, a vibrant memory or something of that sort, anything that reduces the abstractness.

So today on this page of wet sand, I sit to write my epilogue…

I am a red flag that has fallen off its plummeted castle tower. I am an abandoned queen wearing a headdress of shabby grandeur. I am a havenless traveller standing barefoot in the sandy bay.

And most importantly I am someone like you.
